Drylaw occupies Edinburgh's northwestern suburbs, reached via the A90 Queensferry Road from the city centre or A8 from the west. Popular routes include quick trips to the nearby IKEA or longer journeys north to Fife via the Forth bridges. The district retains one of Edinburgh's last traditional bowling greens, where locals have played crown green bowls for over a century.
