Drumkeeran sits on the eastern shore of Lough Allen in County Leitrim, where the Arigna Mountains slope down to meet the water. The town connects via the R280, about 160km from Dublin through Carrick-on-Shannon or 45km from Sligo on a more direct route. Seven public fast chargers serve electric vehicles exploring the Lough Allen area. The town's claim to fame is The Shed Distillery next door, which produces Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin using oriental botanicals and spring water from the local mountains.
