Dromara lies in County Down's rolling hills, midway between Belfast and the Mournes. The A7 provides the main connection, whilst the B7 links eastward to Ballynahinch. From Belfast, most drivers take the A24 through Carryduff before turning onto local roads - about 25 kilometres in total. The town's Tuesday market has run continuously since the early 1600s, making it one of Ulster's oldest weekly markets still operating today.
