Dovaston is a small Shropshire village near the Welsh border, reached via the A5 trunk road west of Shrewsbury. The settlement sits amid typical Marches countryside of rolling hills and green fields. Local routes connect to nearby Knockin and Kinnerley, while longer journeys use the A5 towards Oswestry or Shrewsbury. The village church contains a medieval sandstone font dating from the 13th century.
