Dousland perches on Dartmoor's western fringe, serving as a gateway to the national park from Plymouth via the A386 and B3212. The village sits between Yelverton and Meavy, with the old Princetown railway line running through its heart. It's now preserved as part of the heritage Plym Valley Railway, complete with a restored Victorian station building.
