Dougarie is a small coastal settlement on the western shore of the Isle of Arran, reached by ferry from Ardrossan then the A841 coastal road. The village sits between the dramatic Arran mountains and the Kilbrannan Sound, with short drives to Machrie's stone circles (4km) and Pirnmill (8km). About 7 EV charging points serve the island, mostly in Brodick. The Victorian Dougarie Lodge remains a striking reminder of the area's sporting estate heritage.
