Ditton lies in Kent's Medway Valley along the A228 between Maidstone and Rochester. The M20 provides the main route from London via Junction 4 at Leybourne, whilst the A228 connects north to Rochester and the M2. Local roads link nearby Aylesford and East Malling through typical Kentish countryside. The village retains its historic paper mill chimney, a distinctive brick landmark visible from the main road.
