England

Dent occupies a remote valley in the Yorkshire Dales, reached via winding country roads from the A684 or through Ingleton on the B6255. The village sits amongst traditional stone-walled fields with the River Dee running through the valley bottom. It's the birthplace of geologist Adam Sedgwick, marked by a distinctive pink granite fountain in the village centre.
