Dengie occupies the remote Dengie Peninsula in Essex, surrounded by marshland between the Crouch and Blackwater rivers. Access is via the B1021 from Southminster or longer routes through Maldon on the A414. The peninsula feels wonderfully isolated, with around 30 EV charging points available across the wider area. St. James Church in nearby Asheldham sits completely alone in a field, reachable only by footpath.
