Dassels lies in eastern Hertfordshire near the Essex border, accessible via local roads connecting to the A10 and A120. The A120 links eastward to Stansted Airport and westward to the A1(M), whilst the A10 provides the main route from London via the M25. With approximately 100 EV charging points nearby and Stansted just 15km southeast, it's popular with airport users. The name derives from "boundary valley," marking the historic county border.
