Daingean

united kingdom

united kingdom

Daingean is a quiet midlands town in County Offaly, sitting on the R400 about 12 kilometres southwest of Tullamore. From Dublin, take the M4 to Junction 5, then the R446 south through Kilcock before joining local roads - about an hour and fifteen minutes' drive. The town serves as a local hub for surrounding farming communities, with most traffic flowing between Tullamore and the countryside. The original stone courthouse from 1835 still dominates the main street, now housing the heritage center.
