Curraghboy

Curraghboy is a small lakeside village on Lough Ree's eastern shore in County Roscommon, about 15 kilometers northeast of Athlone. Take the N61 north from Athlone, then follow local roads to the lakeshore. From Dublin, it's roughly 90 minutes via the M6 and N61. The village sits on one of the Shannon's largest lakes, famous among anglers for excellent pike fishing in the shallow northern bays where the lake narrows.
