Cumbernauld lies 20 kilometres northeast of Glasgow in North Lanarkshire, easily reached via Junction 4 of the M80 motorway. The town serves as a commuter hub for both Glasgow and Edinburgh, with excellent road links including the A80 and local routes to surrounding districts like Carbrain and Kildrum.
