Crosshaven sits on Cork Harbour's eastern shore, about 20 kilometers southeast of the city center. This coastal town offers grand views across one of the world's largest natural harbours and serves as home to the Royal Cork Yacht Club, founded in 1720 and the world's oldest yacht club. The most direct route from Cork follows the R611 through Carrigaline, taking about 25 minutes. The club's distinctive clubhouse overlooks the harbour entrance, where racing yachts mingle with commercial vessels heading to the Port of Cork.
