Crossdoney

united kingdom

united kingdom

Crossdoney is a small County Cavan town on the R198, about 8km west of Cavan town and roughly two hours from Dublin via the N3. It's a handy stop between Cavan and Killeshandra, with decent electric charging options nearby for those touring the area. The town sits in proper lake country, surrounded by the small lakes and gentle hills that make this part of the midlands so characteristic. There's a few local pubs and shops, plus golf courses for visitors, and the Catholic church's distinctive bell tower has been marking the spot for over a century.
