Croom

united kingdom

Croom is a market town in County Limerick, sitting on the River Maigue about 20 kilometres southeast of Limerick city. You'll reach it via the R512 off the N20 Cork-Limerick road, with the R515 connecting to Adare and surrounding areas. The town sits in the fertile Golden Vale, where limestone-rich farmland creates the classic green countryside. The medieval castle ruins beside the river are the main draw, with substantial 13th-century walls and towers from the Norman period still standing. It's a handy stop between Cork and Limerick, with decent charging infrastructure for electric vehicles in the region.
