Cronberry is a former mining village in East Ayrshire, accessible via the A76 between Cumnock and Auchinleck. The main route from Glasgow takes the M8 to Junction 8, then A71 and A76 north—about an hour's drive. Local connections include the B741 to Cumnock (5km) and various country roads serving the surrounding agricultural area. The village retains its old railway station building on Station Road, now converted to housing but still showing its Victorian platform-level architecture.
