Cromdale lies in Speyside's whisky country, connected by the A95 which runs east-west through the Spey Valley. Most visitors approach via Grantown-on-Spey or from the A9 at Aviemore, about 30km southwest. The village features an 18th-century church with a distinctive octagonal bell tower.
