Croagh is a small village in west County Limerick, sitting between Askeaton and Rathkeale along the N69 coastal route. It's about 30 kilometres west of Limerick city and just 20 kilometres from Shannon Airport, making it handy for international visitors. The N69 runs straight through from Limerick to Tralee, while the R518 connects south to Newcastle West. The village sits on decent farmland with good access to golf courses at Adare and Shannon. What's interesting is that Croagh shares its name with the famous pilgrimage mountain in Mayo, both meaning "stack" in Irish, and lies along the old pilgrimage route itself.
