Cringles lies in West Yorkshire's Aire Valley between Silsden and Bradford, easily reached via the A650 from either direction. The A629 connects north to Skipton and the Dales, whilst local routes serve daily commuter traffic between Bradford and Craven's market towns. Set against rising moorland toward Ilkley and Rombalds Moor, the valley enjoys a relatively sheltered position despite the Pennine climate. The old mill wheel beside the River Aire still turns, marking the spot where textile workers once powered the local economy.
