Crew Upper lies in County Tyrone's Derg Valley, accessed via the A5 through Castlederg. It's part of a cluster including Crew Lower and the main Crew settlement, with Omagh 25km southeast and Strabane 15km northeast. Around 18 fast EV chargers serve the area. The name derives from the Irish "Craobh" meaning branch, reflected in the ancient hedgerows marking centuries-old field boundaries.
