Craiglockhart occupies elevated ground in southwest Edinburgh, roughly 4km from the city centre via the A70 Lanark Road. The A71 provides western access, whilst the A720 City Bypass connects to the M8 for longer journeys. With over 200 EV charging points across Edinburgh, electric vehicle infrastructure is well-developed. The area's tennis centre famously appeared in "Chariots of Fire" and remains active for regional tournaments.
