Cowgill is a remote Dales hamlet where ancient droving routes meet at the head of Dentdale. Reach it via the B6255 from Hawes (15km of winding fell road) or through Dent village from the west. Long-distance visitors typically approach via the A65 through Settle. The tiny 1863 Methodist chapel continues to serve one of England's smallest congregations.
