Cour lies on Arran's western coast, reached via CalMac ferry from Ardrossan then a 30-minute drive on the A841 coastal road. Most visitors tour the entire island circuit, as the A841 connects all communities around Arran's perimeter. The village sits dramatically beneath Beinn Bharrain, which towers over 700 metres directly behind the houses.
