Cornwood is a small Devon village between Dartmoor's southern edge and Ivybridge, reached via local lanes connecting to the A38 dual carriageway. The main route runs through Ivybridge to join the A38, which links northeast to Exeter or southwest to Plymouth. Local roads serve nearby settlements like Sparkwell Village, whilst the B3213 crosses Dartmoor toward Princetown. The village sits within sight of Lee Moor's distinctive white china clay spoil heaps.
