Corby lies in North Northamptonshire, about 80 miles north of London with excellent road links via the A43 from the M40. The town grew around its steelworks and retains strong Scottish heritage from the 1930s migration of steelworkers. Popular routes include the A43 south to Oxford, A6003 to Oakham, and local connections to Kettering and Market Harborough. The town still proudly calls itself "Little Scotland."
