Coombe lies deep in Cornwall's old mining heartland, surrounded by settlements like Bissoe and Twelveheads that recall the area's industrial heritage. Most visitors arrive via the A39 from Truro, whilst longer journeys follow the A30 through Cornwall's spine before turning south. The old Bissoe Trail, which follows a disused mineral railway, passes directly through the village.
