Coolrain is a handy village on the N7 between Dublin and Limerick, making it a proper spot for a break whether you're heading 120km from Dublin or 80km from Limerick. There's about 18 fast chargers for electric cars, which is grand for long journeys to Cork or other cities. The village connects well to Roscrea and Borris-in-Ossory, plus routes north to the Slieve Bloom Mountains. The Catholic church's bell tower is a fine landmark you'll spot from the main road.
