Coolboy sits in County Wicklow where the mountains ease into farmland, about 80 kilometres from Dublin via the N11 and R747 through Rathdrum. The R746 connects it to coastal Arklow, while the R747 links to Rathdrum and Avoca. Pirates Cove Adventure Park draws families, and golfers have their pick of courses at Bunclody, Coollattin, Woodenbridge, and Macreddin.
