Coolaney sits along the N4 about 10 kilometers south of Sligo city, making it a handy stop between Dublin and the Wild Atlantic Way. The N4 provides the main access, with local roads connecting to nearby villages like Collooney and Ballymote. From Dublin, follow the motorway network before joining the N4 near Mullingar for the drive through the midlands. Sligo Airport is 20 kilometers northeast. The village sits at a historic junction where the old Dublin coaching road met the Ballina route, and you can still spot the original stone mile markers along the roadside.
