Connel spans Loch Etive via its converted railway bridge on the A828, eight kilometres from Oban. The A85 from Glasgow brings most visitors through Crianlarich and along Loch Awe, whilst locals use the short hop to Oban for work and shopping. The 1903 bridge offers brilliant views of the Falls of Lora, where the loch's tidal waters create dramatic rapids beneath your wheels.
