Conlig sits between Belfast and the Ards Peninsula coast in County Down. The A2 coastal road provides the main route from Belfast via Bangor, whilst the M2 and A2 through Newtownards offer an inland alternative. George Best Belfast City Airport is 25 kilometres away. The town retains one of Northern Ireland's last working traditional linen mills with original Victorian machinery.
