Combs is a small Peak District village reached via the A6 from Buxton or local roads from Chapel-en-le-Frith. The elevated position at 400 metres provides excellent moorland views, though winter driving can be tricky due to frost and exposed conditions. The 17th-century Beehive Inn remains the village's most distinctive landmark with its unusual circular stone construction.
