Coltness lies in North Lanarkshire between the M74 and M8, about 15 miles from Glasgow. The A71 provides the main access via M74 Junction 6, whilst the M8 connects through Motherwell for alternative routes. With roughly 100 EV charging points nearby, the area serves both local commuters and central belt travellers. The nearby Bothwell Bridge Lido remains one of Scotland's few surviving outdoor pools from the early 1900s.
