Colliers End lies along the A120 in rural Hertfordshire, between Standon and Puckeridge. The village connects westward to Hertford and the A10, eastward to Bishop's Stortford and the M11, with Stansted Airport just 15 kilometres away. Named after the charcoal burners who once worked the local woodlands, it retains its connection to the area's industrial heritage.
