Colinton is a leafy Edinburgh suburb tucked into the Water of Leith valley, about 20 minutes southwest of the city centre via the A70. Once a separate village, it's now popular with families wanting village charm within easy commuting distance. The red sandstone parish church overlooks the old mill ruins by the river.
