Coldra occupies a strategic spot on Newport's eastern fringe, right by Junction 24 of the M4. It's essentially a motorway services area that's grown into a small community, perfectly placed for anyone crossing between Wales and England via the Severn Bridge. The circular Coldra Court Hotel has been a familiar landmark for M4 drivers since the 1970s.
