Coldmeece is a small Staffordshire village reached via the A519 from the A34, about 3 miles north of M6 Junction 14. The settlement sits between Stone and Eccleshall in rolling farmland, with good links to Stafford and Newcastle-under-Lyme. The village name derives from Old English meaning "cold field," referring to its exposed, wind-catching position on higher ground.
