Coity is a small village in Bridgend county borough, just off the M4 at Junction 35. The Norman castle ruins here feature some of the earliest stone fortifications in Glamorgan, with impressive earthworks still visible. It's handy for Cardiff Airport (15 miles) and sits amid the rolling countryside typical of this part of South Wales.
