Coilleag lies on Barra's western shore in the Outer Hebrides, reached by CalMac ferry from Oban or flights to the famous beach airport. The single-track coastal road connects this cluster of settlements with Castlebay, about 15km away, whilst roughly 6 EV charging points serve the island. Barra Airport's runway operates according to tide tables, being the world's only scheduled beach landing strip.
