Coatbridge lies 10 miles east of Glasgow in North Lanarkshire, accessible via M8 Junction 6 and the A89. The M73 provides northern connections whilst the A725 heads south. Regular trains run from Glasgow Queen Street in 20 minutes. The town boasts the distinctive Time Capsule leisure centre, a striking 1990s complex with its characteristic curved roof housing pools, sports facilities and an ice rink.
