Clunbury

England

England

Clunbury is a small Shropshire village just off the A488, about 30km southwest of Shrewsbury through Bishop's Castle. The B4368 from Ludlow offers a particularly lovely drive through the Shropshire Hills. Most traffic consists of locals heading to market towns, though the area draws weekend visitors exploring the Welsh borderlands. The 12th-century church of St. Swithin contains remarkable medieval wall paintings, including a well-preserved St. Christopher that has welcomed travellers for centuries.
