Clouston
Scotland
Scotland
Clouston lies on Mainland Orkney, a kilometre from the main Orkney settlement and perfectly placed for exploring the island's archaeological treasures. The A965 from Stromness ferry terminal brings you here in about 8km, with the famous Ring of Brodgar and Stones of Stenness just 2-3km away. The name derives from Old Norse "Klaustr-tún," meaning enclosure by the monastery.
