Cliffe Woods occupies part of the Hoo Peninsula in Kent, accessible via the A228 from Junction 1 of the M2. Most visitors arrive through Strood, whilst locals use the B2000 toward Gravesend. The residential area developed during post-war expansion and sits amongst Thames marshlands. Rochester Airport operates nearby as a small private airfield rather than a commercial facility.
