Clifden serves as the unofficial capital of Connemara, perched on the edge of Clifden Bay where the Atlantic meets the rolling hills. The N59 from Galway takes about an hour and twenty minutes through dramatic countryside, while the coastal R341 from Roundstone offers grand ocean views.
