Claremorris

Claremorris is Mayo's main transport hub, where the N17 from Dublin to Galway meets the N60 heading west to Castlebar and the coast. The town makes a handy stopping point for cross-country journeys, with good connections to Ballinrobe and alternative routes like the R331 if you want to dodge the main road traffic. You'll find about 20 electric vehicle charging points around town, and the railway station from 1862 still runs trains to Dublin and Westport, making it one of the few Mayo towns properly connected by both road and rail.
