Clachtoll

Clachtoll is a tiny Highland settlement on Sutherland's coast, famous for its white sand beach and position on the North Coast 500. Drive via A99 to Lairg, then A837 west to Lochinver, and B869 north for 8km. The journey from Inverness takes 2.5 hours. The beach features a 500-million-year-old fossilised tree trunk embedded in the rocks.
