Chute Forest occupies quiet countryside on the Hampshire-Wiltshire border, reached via the A342 from Andover or country lanes from surrounding villages. The A303 provides the main long-distance connection, whilst the M3 offers motorway access for visitors from further afield. Medieval boundary earthworks still mark the edges of the ancient royal hunting grounds that gave the area its name.
