Chryston is a former mining village in North Lanarkshire, about 12 kilometers northeast of Glasgow city centre. The A80 provides the main connection south to Glasgow and north towards Stirling, whilst the M80 junction at nearby Stepps offers motorway access. Local routes include the A752 and B806 through neighboring communities like Muirhead and Gartcosh. The village sits on gently rolling Lowland terrain with views north to the Campsie Fells, and St. Bartholomew's Church with its red sandstone bell tower from 1878 remains a notable landmark.
