Chrishall

Chrishall is a small Essex village perched on the Cambridgeshire border, reached via the B1039 from either the A10 at Royston or local roads from the M11. It's about 15 miles from Stansted Airport and sits on high ground in the Cam valley. The 12th-century St. Mary's Church contains remarkable medieval wall paintings that somehow escaped destruction during the Reformation.
